• provide the Financial Systems Health Check and requested results;
• understand the financial questions and business issues visitors are interested in;
• operate, maintain, secure and improve our website and services;
• maintain appropriate business and administrative records;
• send FinSystems financial tools, resources and business insights when you have chosen to receive them;
• comply with legal or regulatory requirements.

We do not use Health Check results to make credit, lending, employment or other legally significant automated decisions about you.

The Financial Systems Health Check generates an informational score based on the answers you provide.

Your answers and results may be stored so that we can provide your requested results, maintain the assessment, troubleshoot issues and understand how the tool is being used.

Choosing to receive your Health Check results does not automatically subscribe you to marketing communications.

If you separately select the optional marketing consent checkbox, your name, email address and source of consent may also be added to our email contact system.

We send marketing emails only where we have an appropriate basis to do so, including where you have expressly chosen to receive them.

You may unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in our marketing emails or by contacting us at support@finsystems.ca.

Withdrawing marketing consent does not prevent us from sending messages that are necessary to respond to a request you made or provide a service you requested.

We use third-party service providers to operate our website and communications. These currently include:

• Lovable — website hosting, backend functionality and data storage.
• Brevo — transactional email delivery, email contact management and marketing communications.
• Google Workspace — business email and communications.

These providers process information on our behalf for the purposes of providing their services to FinSystems.

We do not sell or rent personal information.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights, or to professional advisers where reasonably necessary.

Some service providers may process or store personal information outside Canada.

When information is processed in another jurisdiction, it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction and may be accessible to courts, law-enforcement authorities or regulators in accordance with applicable law.

We remain responsible for personal information under our control when it is transferred to service providers for processing.

Our email provider records technical delivery information such as whether an email was sent, delivered, bounced or blocked.

Where email engagement tracking is enabled, information relating to opens or link clicks may also be processed. We use email tracking only in accordance with applicable privacy and consent requirements.

Our website may use technical cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for website functionality, security and performance.

We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies for behavioural advertising.

If we introduce analytics, advertising or other non-essential tracking technologies that require additional notice or consent, we will update our practices and this Privacy Policy as appropriate.

FinSystems provides financial management services and resources for business owners and is not directed to children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the Financial Systems Health Check or business contact forms.

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, technology or legal obligations change.
