Meet Elena

I’m Elena, founder of FinSystems.

My perspective on business has been shaped by many different roles over the years — economics, audit, financial reporting, finance operations, general management and hands-on work with owner-managed businesses.

I’ve worked in complex corporate environments, including multi-entity structures and financial reporting, and I’ve also experienced the realities of running a small business from the management side, including nearly four years as General Manager of a boutique travel business.

Each part of that experience taught me something different about how businesses actually work.

Numbers matter, but so do people, operations, customers, timing, risk and the hundreds of decisions an owner has to make every day.

That is also why I have a great deal of respect for small and mid-sized business owners.

They often work longer hours, carry more risk and live with more uncertainty than most employees ever see. Yet they rarely have access to the financial expertise, systems and internal resources that larger companies take for granted.

Many entrepreneurs are extremely street-smart. They understand their customers, know their market and make remarkably good decisions based on experience and intuition.

But as a business grows, intuition alone is no longer enough.

At some point, the owner needs to know more than whether there is money in the bank. They need to understand cash flow, profitability, working capital, margins, financial risks and what their numbers are actually telling them.

That is one of the reasons I created FinSystems.

I want to make financial knowledge practical and understandable for business owners — without unnecessary jargon and without turning every financial question into an accounting exercise.

FinSystems helps business owners build the financial foundation behind better decisions: reliable books, clear financial processes, cash-flow visibility, useful management reporting and financial tools that support sustainable growth.

Because good financial management should not be something available only to large companies with an in-house finance department.
